Scioto Hills Church Camp

designed for life change

Scioto Hills Summer Camp

Who wants to go to summer camp?  At VCC, we have partnered with Scioto Hills Christian Camp and Retreat Center to provide an awesome summer camp experience for children, teens, and even whole families.  Scioto Hills is a beautiful camp near the southern tip of Ohio.  It’s a safe place to send kids, knowing that they will be cared for by trained, accountable, background-checked staff.  They will experience amazing activities and adventures, receive solid biblical teaching, and be discipled toward a closer walk with Christ.

Camp Discounts & Scholarships

Because we believe that camp is a powerful tool that God delights to use in the life of young people, VCC is helping bring the cost of camp down.  Through the generosity of individuals, prioritization in the budget, and the Poultry Days fundraiser, we have money set aside to lower the cost of camp.  This amount is subject to change each year based on availability of funds.

Additionally, we’ve set up a scholarship program to help families bring the cost of camp down even further.  If you wish to request a scholarship, you can complete the Summer Camp Scholarship Request Form and submit it to the office administrator.  Scholarships will be awarded on a first-come-first-served basis and are dependent on available funds.

VCC Camp Dates & Transportaion

While your are welcome to send kids to camp during any of the available dates, we are encouraging families to send their kids during specific weeks to promote relationships and to make transportation easier.  The Dimmicks will be driving their 12 passenger van with an enclosed trailer.  We will recruit other drivers as needed to accommodate all children who want to go on these dates. Family Camp

June 27th-July 2nd

This is the ultimate family vacation with a purpose. Your family needs to spend quality time together vacationing, but they also need to spend time together growing in Christ! Our family camp is the perfect solution. It not only surpasses all the “vacation fun” requirements families desire ‐ it does all this in an outdoor environment that is saturated with Biblical teaching and fresh opportunities for spiritual growth and renewal. From the morning Brown Bag Bible Devotionals to the evening chapel, our age‐appropriate Christ‐centered programming will encourage each family member. Not only will your family grow together, they will have a blast doing it! Each day is packed with a variety of great activities and special events to experience, but then again, you may simply want to hang out at the lake, lounge by the pool or take a nap in your air-conditioned room. The food is amazing, the lodges are comfortable and clean, the fellowship with other families is sweet and the adventures are endless. All this for one incredible all‐inclusive price! We love families and your family will love spending a week with us in our beautiful hills!

Family Camp registration is open at

As you probably know, we at VCC have partnered with Scioto Hills Camp for the past few years.  We’ve sent our kids and teens to summer camp, attended women’s and men’s retreats, and our youth have attended multiple winter retreats.  Scioto Hills is a great ministry that is used by God to bring life change in the lives of kids, youth, and adults.

There is no regular camp this summer due to ongoing Covid restrictions.  In order to provide the best possible camp experience to the most kids, Scioto Hills is offering four weeks of family camp.  Think of it as a “vacation with a purpose.”  You get to spend the week having a blast with your kids, growing in God, and enjoying all that camp has to offer.  Meals are prepared and cleaned up, age-appropriate activities are provided, and there’s plenty of free time for relaxing.  Please consider carving out a week to see what God can do in your family through family camp.

As a church, we have a few families going the week starting June 27th, and we would love for you to join us.  You can stay through Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday depending on what works best for your family.  If you want a spot, I suggest registering soon.
