VCC exists to glorify God by making disciples of Jesus Christ in Versailles and around the world.
UP, IN, and Out
for the glory of God,
the good of His people,
and the growth of His kingdom.
What We Believe
Jesus Christ is the one and only Son of God, who died for our sins and arose from the dead. (1 Corinthians 15:1-8; John 3:16)
The Bible is the inspired Word of God – a lamp unto our feet and light unto our path. (2 Timothy 3:16; Psalm 119:105)
Every person has worth as a creation of God, but all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. (Romans 3:23)
Forgiveness of sins and the promise of eternal life are available to those who trust Christ as Savior and Lord. (John 3:16)
To trust Christ we repent of (turn away from) our sin, and place all our faith in Him and His work on the cross for us. Baptism is a picture of repentance and faith. (Romans 10:9; Acts 2:38; Romans 3:3-5; Galatians 3:26-27)
The ‘Church’ is the body of Christ on earth, empowered by the Holy Spirit, and exists to evangelize the lost and edify the saved. (Ephesians 4:1-16; Matthew 28:18-20
Jesus Christ will one day return to earth and reign forever as King of Kings and Lord of Lords. (1 Thessalonians 4:13-18)
Who We Are: Our Team & Leadership
Pastor: Nick Dimmick
Welcome to Versailles Christian Church! It is my privilege to serve the people of VCC as our pastor, and I’ve done so since March of 2016. I’m grateful for VCC’s 200-year witness in the village of Versailles, and I’m excited to see what God has in store for us in the future.
I’ve served as a pastor since 1996, mostly in youth and worship positions. I love to preach and teach God’s word, disciple people toward maturity, and lead churches into greater faithfulness and effectiveness. I grew up in Wisconsin, but my wife – Jennie (Katterheinrich) – grew up right here in Versailles, and her father even served as the pastor of this church in the 80s and 90s. We have three older children (Emily, Callum, and Katie), and in November of 2016, we adopted our three younger kids (Carrie, Allie, and Lillie). As a family, we love exploring, hiking, kayaking, walking, swimming, biking, and other outside pursuits. If you see us walking or riding around town, please consider joining us.
Pastor Nick Dimmick
The Elders provide oversight of the church and shepherd the flock of God (I Peter 5:1-2). The New Testament uses a single word for elders, pastors, and overseers. Practically, we tend to refer to our vocational pastors as pastors and our lay elders as elders.
Ministry Team Leads (MTL)
MTLs assist the Elders in the leadership of the church by overseeing different ministry areas.
Our church is governed by a hybrid model that looks to the elders for general and spiritual leadership and entrusts the congregation with the authority to place elders in leadership and make significant decisions together.
